In a crucial league match, Chennai Rhinos took on Kerala Strikers last evening in Nehru Stadium, Kochi.
The favorites Chennai Rhinos lost the match against relatively inexperienced Kerala Strikers.
Kerala Strikers won the toss and elected to bat. Kerala Strikers scored 150 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. The third wicket partnership of Vice-captain Arun and Santhosh Sleeba scored 104 runs from 67 balls.
In reply, Chennai Rhinos scored 138 runs with the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Vikranth and Vishnu were top scorers with 77 and 30 runs respectively.
In the final league match, Chennai Rhinos take on Bhojpuri Dabanggs next Sunday in Ranchi. It’s a must win match with a better run rate for Chennai Rhinos.
